Dedicated
to: Lawrence Eaton
Far away in
a distance
In another world, another time
I've visited you there in my mind.
Peeking through your window
I see the shimmering lights
A warm caress, a joyous cry
And all that which comes after
In the innocence of a childs laughter
Hiding low behind a bush
I can see contenment in your smile
I want to shout out loud
Run away with me come now,
But I duck down
Sneaking to take another look
Your eyes meet mine
My heart raises through
Running fast from the truth I feared
Through a dark empty field
I stop, and fall to my knees
There I find myself embrassing me.
I hear the humming of birds
And feel the warmth of the sun
As everything becomes crystal clear
I rise from the damp grass, and brush myself off
Taking a look at God's creation
I begin to come out of my imagination
Into the real world.
Far away in a distance
In another world, another time
I visited you there in my mind.
